Jampolis Cottage

August Residency

Summer Literary Reading

6:30-8:30pm

315 Bluff Rd, Avonport, Nova Scotia

Jampolis Cottage August retreat writers Kim Fahner (Sudbury, ON) and Sandra McIntyre (Wolfville, NS) invite you to the cottage on Friday, August 18 from 6:30-8:30pm for a literary gathering and reading from works-in-progress. The event will be casual and outside, weather permitting. Bring a lawn chair, check out the cottage, and have a visit.

All are welcome, with a special shout out to Lawrence Hill and the Banff Centre Historical Fiction crew: Monica Kidd, Josiah Neufeld, Cheryl Foggo, Emily Ursuliak, Patti Kay Hamilton, and Beverly Boutilier.

Thanks to the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia for facilitating writing residencies and retreats at Jampolis Cottage. (We, as the August retreat writers, feel very lucky and grateful to be here!)

Everyone welcome!

About Jampolis Cottage:

Jampolis Cottage is a Georgian colonial house that welcomes emerging, established, and professional authors from Nova Scotia and beyond. Located on the shores of the Minas Basin in Avonport, Nova Scotia, the cottage is owned and managed by Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia. The Jampolis Cottage Residency Program was made possible by the generosity of the late owners of the house—Neil Peter Jampolis and Maritza “Jane” Reisman Jampolis, whose support for the arts lives on through the trust founded in their name.
